In "The Actors are at Hand" by Eve Windbiel, Peter Quince and Francis Flute wait for their audience. This piece was part of Warp & Weft Co’s festival ahead of their upcoming production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. They tasked playwrights with formulating plays where two well-known characters that don’t normally interact excessively are given a two person scene that involves a monologue, a lantern, and a coin flip. This piece follows Peter Quince and Francis Flute, from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as they discuss their upcoming performance for the Duke, and also explore their relationship further.
